In February 2004 Horses In Service was granted 501(c)(3) status as a non-profit organization.
In September 2004 Horses In Service opened the front gates at Fox Chase Farm in Richmond, Virginia and began serving eight riders with special needs..
In June 2006, within 2 years of opening, Horses In Service Natural Therapeutic Riding Center passed the center accreditation process and received PATH,International PREMIER status with 100% compliance!!

When we look at the beautiful animal called "the horse" that fill each of our days with joy and growth, we can only extend this God given blessing to others by sharing what we have and know.
A person and a horse both bring unique individual spirits to the partnerships that develop through a therapeutic riding program and the bonding experiences that spontaneously occur.
There is a natural connection that is evident in the eyes and body language of both the humans and the equines. Even our students who are unable to communicate verbally, show us through their actions, smiles, and emotions, just which horse is their absolute favorite.
Healing comes from horses and the experiences they give to all of us. Healing comes from the people around us who care, love, support and serve.
Healing comes through
