Welcome to the
        H.I.S. Natural Therapeutic Riding Center!

H.I.S.

Horses In Service (H.I.S.) Natural Therapeutic Riding Center is a North American Riding for the Handicapped Association (NARHA) Premier Therapeutic Riding Center in Richmond, Virginia devoted to serving children and adults with disabilities.

H.I.S. Riding Center facilities include two horse stables, tack room and lounge, lighted outdoor arena and round pen. Participants ride for a minimal fee. Our program is dedicated to providing a safe and controlled environment.

For people with disabilities, the relationship with a horse can improve interpersonal and motor skills. While riding they will find the horse's motion similar to human walking. These benefits alone can enhance life, but riding can do much more.

We are glad you have come to visit our site because we believe deeply in what we do at H.I.S. We believe that our riders, our volunteers and our horses are true heroes and we love to share our stories!!
